She rowed Division I Crew and figure skated competitively through college and graduate school. Prior to joining Dee PT, Amy worked at an orthopedic physical therapy clinic in Alexandria, Virginia where she attended a years worth of residency-level continuing education courses.
In the community, Amy has volunteered at many marathons and triathlons, and also worked with interdisciplinary teams bringing physical therapy services to under-served populations in Ecuador and the Dominican Republic. She enjoys treating people of all ages and from all walks of life. Special clinical interests for Amy include manual therapy and treating athletes in the performing arts (dancers, gymnasts, figure skaters). She also has a keen interest in working on balance, preventative care and decreasing falls risk with elderly populations.
Amy is certified in Functional Dry Needling, which can help resolve pain and muscle tension, promote healing, and recruit strength.
Outside of work, Amy keeps busy hiking and running with her Vizsla puppy. She can also be found on the lake; wake surfing or stand up paddling. Amy is excited to experience winter in Vermont once again, and is eager to get back on her skis.
