Keep Moving With Parkinson’s

The Dee Physical Therapy Wellness Program is excited to announce a new exercise class designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.  ‘Keep Moving With Parkinson’s’ will meet for 6 weeks starting April 20th at the Shelburne Field House and will be taught by Laurel Lakey, a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who also holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Utah.  This class will be focused on addressing the common impairments associated with Parkinson’s disease including balance and posture training, flexibility and mobility exercises, as well as strength and stability training.  Students will be led through movements and exercises in both seated and standing positions and will be accompanied by music selections to help students employ skills in rhythm, timing and coordination.   Participants may bring along one guest such as a significant other, family member or caregiver to join as well, but this is not required.  Advanced registration is requested, but you may sign up to trial the first class for free.

For questions and to register, please call Dee Physical Therapy in Shelburne at 802-985-4440 and ask for Laurel, or email her at
