Keep Moving With Parkinson’s

The Dee Physical Therapy Wellness Program is excited to announce an exercise class designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.

The next session of Keep Moving with Parkinson’s starts October 26th and will run for four weeks.  This class is designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and will be taught by Laurel Lakey, a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who has a BFA in Dance.  Class will be focused on exercises which address balance, posture, flexibility and strength.  Students will be led through movements in both seated and standing positions, accompanied by music selections to help students employ skills in rhythm, timing and coordination.   Participants may bring along one guest such as a significant other, family member or caregiver to join as well.

Cost?  $40.00 for 4 classes (covers you plus one guest)


Please note: This class is appropriate for individuals who are able to ambulate independently.  For those who require assistance with ambulation but are interested in taking part, please contact the instructor.
