Alexandria Shepard, Lic. P.T. Asst.
Alexandria Shepard, a native of Massachusetts, is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant at Dee Physical Therapy. Known by her co-workers and patients as “Alex”, she has special interest in pediatric care, orthopedics and various sports related injuries. She particularly enjoys working with the senior population of the community on fall prevention and motivating seniors to improve their strength, balance and mobility to keep them active throughout their daily lives.
At Dee PT, Alex thoroughly enjoys working with the diverse patient population and building relationships to ensure the best quality care. Previously working with children in education to now working with all ages in physical therapy, Alex has found a true passion and enjoyment helping people of all ages meet their individual goals.
Alex attended High Point University where she received her B.A in Special Education in 2013. She then began working as a physical therapy aide where she discovered her passion for the field. She returned to school to study to become a physical therapy assistant at Bay State College, and then graduated in May 2016.
In addition to her work as a PTA at Falmouth Physical Therapy, where she developed her skills in various manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise, she also assisted with group personal training classes in the clinic. In this role, Alex worked with elite level athletes to improve training techniques and promote injury prevention.
Outside the clinic, Alex enjoys hiking, running, walking with her dog (goldendoodle), reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
